Great news. Maybe the same will be soon for the rest of us. BTW, do you know if Angelo's Congressional Rep. had made contact with the USCIS before "the touch?" Or, had that not happened yet? If there was a connection, I'm going to call a senator as my congressman has not had any obvious effect.

Thanks so much guys.

It really came as a definite surprise this morning that's for sure.

So Casper to be honest we don't even know yet! If it wasn't her that made contact with them then that seems like really odd timing because literally right after we spoke with her the next couple days we got a touch and approval.

I will get Angelo to email Joy and see if she had spoken with them.

If she did then jeeze Joy has THE POWER!

I would say why the heck not to trying to get more people involved with your case. Worst thing they can say is that they can't give you any info BUT they will know that you really want some sort of answer here ASAP!

Just keep on bugging them thats what I say!

I know I do kind of wish the CSC would at least let us know why we were held up there. Then at least I could bring you guys some sort of news.

But the good news is that they are back and looking at December filers.

You guys will be next :D

12/15/09 I-129F Sent to California

12/21/2009 NOA1

5/11/10 K-1 Approved by CSC :)

6/9/2010 Traveling with my boys to spend a month in Ecuador

6/30/2010 Consulates list of "cases ready to interview"

7/5/2010 "call back in 8 wks and THEN we will set interview date"

July 2010 Three MORE calls-"now I can't book end of August, that's too far ahead to put on the calendar".

August 2010 Last-minute decision by two of Ivan's boys that they want the K2, two more weeks of drafting and Notorizing new legal custody agreements

8/12/10 A FIFTH PIN and call-- "call back just ahead".

8/16/10 A SIXTH PIN and call-- "we can book you for in two days, but if you want next Monday the 23rd or Tuesday the 24th, then call back later THIS WEEK, and we will book you for MONDAY MORNING". frustrated letter by me to Consulate email

8/17/10 Call from US Consulate Guayaquil, man profusely apologizing, books us for 24th.

8/24/10 K1 interview--denied--told he has a lifetime ban. Sad, sad, very sad day.

Currently investigating options on marriage...then 1.5 years of more wait.

How long after did you get the txt/sms after it was approved?

Does anyone know if the status updates online are instantaneous?

Unfortunatly it appears the status updates range from instant to delayed by a day or two to not being updated at all to the NAO2 hard copy just showing up in the mailbox anyway.

Far from a perfect science it seems like the updates are at the disgression of the individual case worker or the technology that does the updating is unreliable.

Just makes the journey that much more exciting dosen't it!?

Yeah...mine was approved 2/26, but i didn't get the notification till 2/28...the good & bad of technology. We r preping for our interview on april 14th...i'm so glad i'm here to help hicham get everything together...i'd be going even more crazy if i was at home not being able to do anything...lol Congrats to those who've also recieved their interview dates & hopefully the rest will recieve their NOA2's & fly through NVC soon!!!

2/2/2011 Rebuttle Interview: APPROVED!!!

3/18/2011 VISA IN HAND!!

4/8/2011 Arrive in US through JFK (20 mins total time)

6/9/2011 MARRIED!!!
