My dog just peed on the carpet floor for the 20th time this past 2 weeks..

She has a bone cancer (diagnose 2 weeks ago) and is on Presnisone which makes her drink more and pee more... I've been ver patient and forgiving because I know i wasnt there most of the time to opent he door for her but yesterday i bought this doggy training pad kindathing and she just ignored it and still peed on the carpet.. I'm sooooo frustrated..seems like becasue i let her get off peeing in the house now she just dont try to hold it anymore!! :crying: now my house smell like dog pee :crying:

So sorry to hear this! Sometimes when dogs are sick, it's not the fact that your dog is not trying to not pee on things, it's that she's too sick & unable to stop.

We had to babysit my dog's brother once, and he used to pee on everything. What my mom did was she wrapped a diaper around his whole torso...so you'd see him lifting his leg on the couch to pee, and it went straight into the diaper... I don't know how that would work with a female dog, but maybe it's worth giving it a try?

Last night I walked thru my bathroom holding something in each hand. I slipped on a bit of water on the marble floor and I fell so hard that I was feeling my legs to see if there were any bones protruding :(

I fell so awkward cos I didn't wanna spill/break what I was holding...stupid move...and I wound up falling straight on my knees really hard.

Left leg is sooo black n blue & swollen, right's hurt but not as badly.

I am thnakful tho that I didn't hit my head or have it be worse, but my leg is so swollen it looks deformed

i'm glad you didn't hit your head either. i don't think i could handle lisa as a liberal

Well, my leg is all black and blue...from right below the knee on the right hand side to the middle of my shin/calf. It hurts like a you know what, but yesterday I had a full day that I could not get out of. So I went about my stuff & sucked it up, yanno? I took some customers out for dinner & then the plan was to meet a girlfriend for drinks...hey, if I can power thru the whole day, why not the night too?

I came home after the dinner & was sitting at the kitchen table talking to my dad & i went to skootch my chair in, and I wound up hitting the exact spot on his knee...omG the pain was even worse than the first time!!!! Now my leg is purple and swollen, and I think a trip to the doc's is in order even tho I have a fear of doctors and hospitals and such. So instead of going to the er...I'll prolly try to get in tomorrow at the office :(

Oh, needless to say, I had to cancel the drinks

What did you do to it Lisa?? OMg that sounds awful.

I can hardly walk today because my husband decided it was a good idea to run in the "tour de pain" (3 races in 24 hours...) It was 8 miles total.

and now I can't walk.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Thanks Lisa.. My dog is a lot better now.. she is actaully doesnt look like she's sick.. she can walk, eat and now more energetic. My doctor said she couldnt tell that my dog is sick from the outside and is shock when she saw the blood result. ( the cancer is eating her inside :crying: ) I know that she doesnt want to pee in the house as she usally very good at that.. but yea... may be coz she drinks lik 3 galons of water each day so i guess she just cant hold that long anymore.. I'm trying very hard not to be angry.. just so annoyed when come home and see wet spot!!

I also put the training pad all over the floor but she managed to find the open to pee  Seem like i'll have to try the dog diaper!!!! lol I love her to bits though :luv:

I hope you feel better too.. it must be hard trying to walk or go somewhere with hurt legs!! (F)

do they make doggie depends?

Yes they do .. you can find them at specialty dog stores and sometimes just the regular ones.

As far as the peeing.. to stop it you need to get something to get the pee smell out of the carpet.. There is this one cleaner Natures Miracle .. it works wonders and will remove the odor.. its not because they like to pee there.. they know there is pee there and they will.. Its rough with a dog that has health issues sometimes its hard to get past

I'm trying to do that right now.. didnt use the Nature Miracle though.. but the stain remover kinda thing.. dont know if it's gonna work.. Thanks for the tip!!

And the rant's keep going.... just started a new job, feels like the old job same shist, different people and kids.

Want to quit minor Sat. job that I make a lousey $8 paycheck cause after 10 years of working at the YMCA teaching an exercise class, I get yelled out cause I can't find a sub to cover class that I was to sub when I had to work late at first job.

Friend p&ssed at me cause I am dogsitting over weekends and can't go camping.

I work too much and don't have enough money and always am working more at minor jobs to keep the bills paid.

Then I have to pay high taxes cause I have way too many jobs that are too small to take out Fed. income tax or state income tax cause then I might as well not even work it, I would be making $2.

Moondancer

Update to this rant... the friend got over being Pizzed at me for dog sitting, I just resigned the minor Sat. job cause after 10 years for $4 it just isn't worth it, no matter how my class likes me ,I'd rather have a whole day to go somewhere, without ever finding a sub... I need to start looking into taking some online classes or something to start working on the other jobs so I can get a better paying job.

7-3-06 GREEN CARD ARRIVES IN MAIL!!!! Done for two years!!!!!!

I am here to help, even if it's just to offer my shoulder to cry or vent on... We are all in this together.!

My answers are based on personal experience, not fact.

We are on this rollercoaster ride together holding on for dear life.

New rant:

I have a much younger brother (14) and my mother is convinced that the draft will soon be reinstated and my brother will be sent off to die. She is generally a reasonable person, but lately she's been starting to get a bit um... impassioned about this.

Our whole family is pacifist, and my mother would like my brother to be able to claim conscientious objector status next time the draft rolls around, but just joining an anti-war group apparently doesn't always cut it.

My mother is making my brother become a QUAKER because they have lawyers to protect their own. She wants him to "apply" to the church before he is 18, and begin attending meetings this fall.

Wow...that's heavy duty stuff! It's kinda cool that she's found out ways to protect him from what she forsees as an outside possibility.

How does your brother feel about it?

My brother at first was sort of furious (he's actually an atheist... at this point) but I guess he doesn't want to go to war. I don't know, it all just seems a little ridiculous.
