"sign in failed" what is this?

Been looking thru the posts and I notice in the signatures people have "sign in failed"

what does this mean?

We have sent in our ds230 packet and are awaiting approval,,,,besides calling NVC is there another way to check the progress?

sign in failed usually happens couple of days before the case is completed

this is usually the reason but there might be other reasons too that i dont know

Are you talking about when you call the NVC ?

No, sign-in failed comes from what you try to log into the payment portal site and you are unable to log in any longer.

When you go to the site where you paid the bills, you will get a mesage that says that your file is no longer able to be processed and login failed...

Thanks Kalapino for that question, I was wondering that myself! Everybody seems very excited when they get sign-in failure and I didn't know why.
