Good morning everyone. Gorgeous cool morning here and the sky is that deep color of blue that makes you wish you could fly. Glad to see yahpoo is back up and running again, not that I use it for anything other then talking with Mohammed. It's just an uneasy feeling seeing one of your "life lines" cut off. You have to wonder why they can't oh say TELL YOU they're going to be down for a day. So many people use it for family and loved ones it would be nice to have some kind of warning.

I'm obsessing over my orchid. I spent the day cruising web sites. It's killing me not to make a rock garden/floor fountain to set it in. I'm a rock collector so I have all kinds of cool stones and crystals I could use but FORTUNATELY I don't have the $$ to blow on it (yet). I also found a site that sells those "mist makers" which would definitely solve the humidity issue in the winter... for both the plant and my house. That's on the list.

Still no reply from the Embassy. I emailed them last Wednesday. I'll give them a few more days and pester again. Maybe if I send a candygram??? Pfft.

Salwa -- sure hope you get the package tomorrow. They are realllyyyyy cutting it close. Try to stay calm (lol I know you can't) you're gonna do just fine :luv:

Wow Jean -- orchids ???? They are soooo beautiful. I have never tried growing them, but I know they are a real passion for many gardeners. I can't wait to see pics when you get everything all set up.

Good morning!!!

Salwa I am sending you good vibes!!!

Yes Jean, do send us some pics!! I for one have never grown an orchid. Something I can do today is look it up if I get a chance to see what you are up to! I like plants and I grow a lot of things.

Yahoo was down when I wanted to talk to my husband this am at 5. It came back ups just before 6. Then he lost his connection. So I just called him.

Ok, back to work.

Seems orchids really aren't that difficult to care for... well some more then others. I got an easy one (because I'm a coward). It's going to take a lot of effort on my part not to get another one. It seems certain orchids bloom at different times of the year, so maybe another that will bloom while this one "sleeps".

If anyone wants a lovely website www.cloudappreciationsociety.org is really a neat site. Just lots of pictures of clouds. It's so serene.

I am slowly going insane. I watched Road to Guantanamo (excellent film, I highly recommend it) and Behind Enemy Lines yesterday. Then, while flipping channels trying to find something decent to watch while I ate breakfast this morning, I stumbled upon an infomercial aimed at certain segments of conservative american society begging them to give $350 to "rescue" a russian jew and move them to Israel. Yaay, let's displace some more palestinians ay?

With this and the news, it's a wonder I'm not back in bed hiding under the sheets. The world is a scary place.
