Without even booking an Infopass appintment one cannot conclude that they will ask to wait for 6 months , nowhere it is written that you have to wait for a certain period of time to make an Infopass appointment

The ONE AND ONLY way to know as to what is going on with a case is an infopass , and if there is any problem you will come to know and you can take corrective action if needed , because many times letters and communication are lost in the mail and the filer always gets a last minute surprise

There is a very old saying "A stich in time saves nine"

Infopass may be ?? Also VJ list is not a true indicator of the processing time , only a misniscule percentage of people use VJ out of the thousands of filers , but yes if you are worried about your case , the only way to know what is going on is an Infopass appointment , although many people think that booking an inforpass appointment before 6 months is like blasphemy.. but its not ..you have nothing to lose by making an infopass appointment

except time from work to go there to hear " time line is 6 months for I-751 please contact us if you don't hear anything within 6 months...." I have not heard a single case being answered before 6 months just because someone made an infopass.

If you have not heard even a single case which has not been answered to if the timeline was less than 6 months , you have been living in a very very very small world , I have had infopass apointments within the first 3 months of fililing my AOS originally and I always got information that I needed

You are very opinioniated and annoying. I do not believe I have made a personal comment about what kind of a world you are living and I don't like to hear such a comment. Please keep it to your self. We are in a ROC forum not AOS and I am posting my experince based on I-751.

Well one thing , you were wrong , second as mentioned that there is no rule which says that you have to wait six months for an infopass , third an infopass is an infopass , does not matter for what you are using it for AOS , ROS , N400 anything ..

If you are such an authority on immigration why dont you put up a shop and practice Immigration Law , certainly will bring more money for you since you will be milking your clients with wrong information and help them getting more and more RFE's
