well looks like we could be in for another mile stone here soon, there is only one more CSC filer to be approved for the month of December. that means in about 4 to 6 weekes we should see the VSC start

Havent seen any approvals for November yet , so december might still take some time ..:(( , hope they get started soon

Havent seen any approvals for November yet , so december might still take some time ..:(( , hope they get started soon

VSC seems slow :huh: There has been 2 approvals already for CSC's january 2010 filers! thats really fast...

still waiting on VSC lol

well, we were planning on taking a trip to Cancun the end of March, I was wondering if my hubby can travel with his green card and the letter that was sent to us saying that it was extended for 1 year?? or do we have to go somewhere to get something else?

That should be enough...

Check with the Airline you are travelling that if they need something called "Flight Pass" in addition to the extension letter

Many airlines require this document , this has happened with one of my very close friends who was stuck in Phillipines for a number of days even after having the extension letter

The "Flight pass" is a document which can be obtained from the US consulate in the country that you are travelling to , it basically says that the airline can carry the passenger to the United States without any risk

Some airline need this official document because in case the person is not allowed inside the us customs and border protection agents at the airport the airlines have to bear the cost of transporting the person back to the country and this is something they dont want to do..that is why they need this document..it may not ahppen in your case but it is good to be informed

I've been watching all the dates and approvals from the California Service center and kind of wonder why they seem to be draggin their heels on us. Even the person who filed the after us had their bio and approval before us :( Sigh

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

February 10,2010 - Again recieved email and text says the same thing..

February 12, 2010 - I recieved email and status says "Approval Notice Sent"

I guess laegood's approved date was 2/9 after all... so, updated :)
