Responding to the post above,

I think it's a great idea, especially since you can't be approved without biometrics - maybe it will increase your chances of being approved quicker than if you had waited.

Most centers seem to allow people to go early, though there was a case in MD where the applicant was not allowed to do early biometrics.

My husband went almost 2 weeks early and his case has been touched twice in 2 days.

I was also surprised about the touches too. However, it seems that VSC has barely begun to approve September filers and we are technically a November filer (though my husband's NOA is dated 11/30). I won't hold my breath that these touches mean anything  .

Once the biometric is finished I think you'll feel relieved - it's the last step before an approval. Good luck!

True, but we're thinking positively :).

We didn't get an RFE for the K1 or the AOS and thanks to VJ we think we did everything right...

all are true. I also did not get any RFE's during any of my dealings with immigration so I am hoping for the best. I also wish that everyone here has a very smooth experience with USCIS. Good luck to everyone. :jest::D

Or an interview!!!

Again, the chances of that are slim....

I'd rather have an interview than an RFE I think. You can be approved at the interview (and our other two were a breeze), where the RFE would probably delay the process even more.

Either way, both of those would be rare.

Some people also get requested to go for second biometrics if the FBI cannot process the bios taken the first time.
