We got a letter requesting supporting material (for expedite request). I have prepared and will send it asap. It also says that the waiting period of biometrics appointment is 3-6 months in some centers :(

Alright got the appointment letter for 23rd and today I waled in and got it done. Hopefully this will speed things up but who knows.

What happens after biometrics? I am to wait for the card to be issued now? And Is this going to show in the online status?

The center was empty and I am wondering what was the nonsense about the backlog they were telling me about. I think they just didn't work on my case at all until I requested the expedite.

Hi everyone! We had our biometric appointment today in Norfolk. We got there about an hour early (9:15am) and they took us right in, but it still took about 45 minutes to complete. The reason it took so long was because the office was closed yesterday due to snow and many of the people who missed out yesterday, came out this morning.

By the time we got home (6:30pm), we had touches on both the I-485 and I-765. :)

So happy to see some of the december filers getting their interview letters! so exciting!!!

Got an email that my EAD card has been ordered. Will keep my eyes open for it in the mail... great to see so many people getting their interview letters. They must be speeding up the process. Hope i get mine soon. ALL THE BEST EVERYONE !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Student28... awesome news! According to my timeline on here I should be hearing about my EAD next week. I want to know just how accurate that is, so if you just got notice about yours today, what does that say compared to your timeline estimations on Visa Journey?

12/05/09: Sent AOS package to Chicago lockbox.

12/11/09: USPS reports delivery of package.

12/16/09: I-485 check cashed.

12/17/09: I-130 check cashed.

12/19/09: Received four NOAs in the mail (dated 12/15)

12/28/09: Received biometrics apt. letter for 1/8/10

01/04/10: Walk-in biometrics done (Santa Ana, CA)

01/26/10: Received interview letter for March 10

02/05/10: EAD card production ordered & AP approval notice sent, both arrived in the mail shortly thereafter

03/10/10: Interview and approval for cond. GC

03/11/10: Status update "Card production ordered"

03/16/10: Welcome letter in the mail

03/22/10: GC in the mail!

ROC:

January 2003: Arrived in USA with F-1 visa

April 2003: Was introduced to hubby thru a friend

August 2004: Met him for the first time in NJ and the rest is history

March 2009: Got engaged

August 28, 2009: Got married to my loving boo

October 2009: Went for medical and vaccines, didn't know i had to have the HPV shot, so went to get it

December 1, 2009: Sent in AOS forms I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765, I-693 and I-863 to Chicago Lockbox.

December 12, 2009: package was sent back & rejected due to no signature on I-130

December 14, 2009: signed form I-130 and sent all forms back to Chicago Lockbox

December 16, 2009: delivered and signed @11:15am

December 22, 2009: Check cashed

December 24 or 26, 2009: All 4 NOAs received.. all dated Dec. 21st (didn't check my mailbox, was out of town)

December 28, 2009: Biometrics appt letter received for Jan 13th

December 31, 2009: Walk-in biometrics. Original appt - Jan 13, 2010

February 12, 2010: Card production ordered for both EAD and AP

February 15, 2010: I-131 Touched

February 18, 2010: I-765, I-485, I-130 Touched

Also got my EAD in the mail today finally!!!!

Nice! I can't wait until Kyle gets his EAD!!! I'm sooo tired of living off my teacher income for the two of us... Have to get him a car too though.. I can't wait for him to get the EAD because I think it will open up so many different opportunities for him. New friends, conversations, etc!
