I just wanted to let you know after much more lurking on the VJ forums, Kyle and I are finally ready to send off our applications/petitions to the USCIS!!! We will mail them off on Monday through the USPS.

Kyle had a bit of a lengthy ordeal with the I-693 because he tested positive (20mm) on his TB test. He had to get a X-ray which showed his lungs were clear. He tested falsely positive for the TB test because of his BCG immunization shot he got a few years back in the UK.

I thought we would be able to get the forms out last week, but because of the delay, we won't be sending it out until Monday. BTW.. for other lurkers, the medical exam in Richmond,VA cost us $300 and then then x-ray cost $52.06. The civil surgeon was nice but that's quite a steep price.

Anyways, glad to see that the rest of the December filers are doing well... there don't seem to be many of us filing in December... I think i've read 4 or 5...is this correct?

Laura

Hey Mofope, Congrats on getting biometrics letter and NOA's - yay your case is finally moving! And congrats to everyone else with news too.

As for walk ins - almost all ASCs do it... I was unlucky mine was one of the few that didn't - but of November filers there were only 2 of us that couldn't do walk ins. Unfortunately there is noone you can call to check. I would do some searching on here to save yourself a wasted trip. You might want to look at the spreadsheets for November and october filers that Istanbulls and Greg created and see if your ASC is listed. The November link is: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0An...1tdlE&hl=en

I don't have the October one but you can find it in their thread. On the left it has the person's nearest office and on the far right it says if they did a walk in.

Good Luck to all you guys

We received our signature confirmation this afternoon! Signed and picked up by Ralph Mercado at 1:57pm! Can't wait to get the NOAs and the checks cashed (although the $1500 looks sooo pretty in our bank account). :star: :star: :star:

I tried a walk-in at the Santa Ana, CA service center this morning, a little after 8am. There were a few people waiting already, but as far as I could tell noone there (security, receptionist, technician) even looked at the original time of my biometrics appointment. I was out of there in ~45 min. :)
