I (petitioner) filed my I-129F in early Oct. Rec'd NOA1 a week or so later. Just trying to figure out what my fiancee should be doing while we wait for NOA2, etc. Wat specific requirements are there for Philippine fiancees? I mean the barangay, police certs, passport, cedula, etc. Is there anything she can get done now while we wait? She lives on Mindanao - not far from Butuan, which is where she'll most likely get most of the requirements. Any help would be appreciated.

She can get an authenticated Birth Certificate from NSO ,NBI clearance, and her Cenomar or certificate of No Marriage from NSo..these are the most important documents she needs to get while waiting for NOA 2. I am from Surigao city which is 2 hrs. from Butuan city.

o.k. thank you. Do you know the costs for those. I'm sending money and want to make sure I send enough. Also how many days should she have to stay in Butuan or can she do it all in one day? I'm trying to figure out if she'll need a room and other expenses for an extended stay. Just planning my expenses - trying to save for a wedding too :)

I would suggest she look at information on the Manila website: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_2994.html

Hey Paul,

You can order the NSO Birth Cert and CENOMAR for her online here:

https://www.ecensus.com.ph

You can "order" it but it seems difficult to actually pay for it online if you are overseas from what the payment methods they accept online.

What I did was order it for my girl, then I sent her the email with the order info, She then printed the email and took it to BDO and paid for it. About 10 days later or so they delivered it to her door.

You wanted to know the costs, you can see the costs as you place the order. I ordered two copies of CENOMAR and it was around 830p. You can order only one copy if you want of course. I think birth certificates are about the same cost.

Be careful that all the info you enter online is correct as far as her mother's maiden name, middle names, etc so the info will be printed and researched correctly.

I hope that helps you :)

DON'T DO THIS. JUST HAVE YOUR GIRL FALL IN LINE AT LOCAL NSO/NBI OFFICE. ITS VERY CHEAP.

There was no local NSO office where my girl is. The nearest is 4 hours away.

This method worked just fine for us but do what is best for you :)
