Can you call and set appt for Montreal??

Hi everyone, just wondering if one can call the embassy and book an appointment for immigration visas? I know that they won't see you without an appointment, so I thought I could book an appt. and bring in all of my proof of domicile so I wouldn't have to wait for their 'mail system'. I'm going to email them to try to set up an appointment and I'll let you know if I get a response.

On my way home from my initial interview (after being denied) the officer left a message on my phone and said that I could either send it in via mail, or come back personally to Montreal.....so maybe there is a chance???

actually i wondered the same thing.. there is an online system the consulate website points to and it charges money or rather NVC points to it. shrug

Yes, I think probably you could. Don't know if Montreal has hours where they are just 'open to the public' - if so, you could just show up.

It really isn't that funny...First off she was denied her visa and told that she could just come back to Montreal with her proof of domicile, secondly they do have hours in which you can just show up with whatever small business you need to take care of.

Hey everyone. Well I emailed them and explained that the officer told me I could come back in person or send it snail mail. So I asked if I could set up appointment or just come in....so we'll see how that goes!!

If I find out that we can just come in during regular hours....I have three empty seats for anyone that wants to go for a drive!!!! LOL Obviously we are all on different process times, but if anyone actually is ready to go in a couple of weeks....AND they say we can come at certain hours....than the offer to drive in ON!!
