Just a question: Does your reply from USCIS mention it will only take 14days to process that RFE? If not, where does the 14 days come from?

No idea where the 14 days comes from.... this is what my RFE response says....

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status:

On July 12, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. We have received the same message. We called CSC and they told us that we should receive an answer within 30 days from receipt of the RFE. (They received our answer on the 8th of July, so that means we should know something by August the 8th)

We got online update, e-mail and then snail mail for our RFE. The rest proceeded normally as well.

We were notified by e-mail about the IMBRA RFE being mailed. CSC also sent an e-mail when they received the RFE. CSC had the RFE a few days before sending the e-mail.

I do not recall where I read about the 14 days to process the information. but I did. It said that the CSC has something like up to 60 or more (?) days to process the IMBRA RFE, but that it generally takes about two weeks. Sure wish I could recall where I read it!! I don't have alzheimers, but I think I do have "some-timers"! I will search for the source of my 14 days and post it if I find it.

I had received my second (duplicate) RFE approximately July 11, I called the USCIS and they said whenever you receive anything that reqeusts you to send it back to do so. So I completed the second RFE and put a cover letter on it and also included a copy of the first one. I sent it confirmed and it was delivered to the PO box on July 18. I hadn't heard anything so yesterday, July 28, I called and talked to customer service and she said that they never received it and that I should send in another copy. I made copies of everything again last night and just before leaving for the post office, checked online and the date had changed and wala, like magic, they found it.

No email was recieved.
