Hello,

In 2008 I got married to Ricardo in Panama and decided to move down here for the time being and get my residency in Panama as his wife. It’s been over a year and I’m ready to get started with the paperwork to bring him to the states, I figured that since I am living here in Panama I should file here using my temporary legal status. I will of course be getting a joint sponsor and I wanted to know if there was anyone who had used the Direct Consular Filing in Panama as well? I’ve seen one for someone who filed in Denmark, but I am looking for someone who filed here in Panama.

We've been married for just over a year and are both very young which makes the process a bit more complicated with regards to assets and such but I am hoping with a joint sponsor I should be ok, in the end I'd rather do it from here than go to the states and wait a year or longer while the K3 or CR1 visa goes through.

February 2008- Traveling in Panama and meet Ricardo through a friend

August 2008- Married in Panama
