Well, my appointment was Nov 20, at 1pm - I arrived around 12:30 and I went in. They ask you to fill a form out (3-4 minutes) then you wait your turn. This is the third time I do a biometrics in two different offices and I must say that each time I waited roughly 5 minutes before my turn.

The process, depending on how the machine is responsive (I say this because my left index finger just didn't take - I think they scanned it 5 times), but this takes I would say around 10 minutes - they take your picture, ask you to fill out a survey ( < 1 minute) and you are on your way!

This has been my experience.

About walkins, you might want to check with them because I heard some offices have a specific day the accept walkins and others are more flexible. If they are close by, just go and ask them in person.

Good luck!
