Glad to hear that you've heard back from the Embassy.

I hope they'll fix this soon for you.

I'm praying it works out for you. I couldn't believe that this happened in the first place. All that time and money...get an approval, prepare to move and get turned around at the border? Thats ridiculous. Once one has their visa in hand they shouldn't have to worry about the border not letting them in. Thats the whole point of getting the visa in the first place! So you can sell your house or give notice and pack your stuff to move. Somebody needs to account for this horrible error. Either your visa is denied or not but to give one and then take it back is beyond reasoning.

Today I had to fax off a Release of Information to the Senator so they can contact the Border Patrol, everything at USCIS and DOS is okay and in order. We are now hoping that the Senator can finally get some answers from the Border Patrol as to why they denied my Visa. According to USCIS and DOS my Visa is still active, this really is very strange, as I can't use it, cause the Border Patrol wrote Canceled across it. And now, hopefully with the Senator's help, we can find out some answers and see what our next step will be. Plus, we aren't sure where my file is at this moment. I thought that it was to be sent back to the Embassy, but nothing has been updated in their system.

I truly hope that none of you have to go through what we have gone through. This really has been a nightmare.

I tried to enter the US on Nov 27th and got denied.

I was in Secondary for almost 4 hrs and was in confinement the last 2 of those 4 hrs. I was denied because of an offense I had back in 1982, which the person that interviewed me said that he would let it go and if some of you remember, we had to go sit down for a bit, well that was the reason why. Well anyways the CBP said that he contacted the Montreal Embassy and had it changed, so my K1 Visa has now been canceled and I was given an I-601. This really bites, cause now it's going be over a year if it gets approved and I can't enter the US til I get a waiver.

I just sent off an email to Montreal to try and get some things cleared up on this matter, hopefully they'll reply back.

I will give you updates as to how we are progressing.

I hope that everyone else doesn't have this problem at the POE.

I think this is the issue for the maladies past yer K-1 visa interview day.

What was the result from the Senator's office ?

What we got from the Senator's office, was that even if I was able to get into the US, I might still have been deported cause of the conviction. We were told that the K1 visa was canceled, but after talking to DOS regarding something on the I-130, and being told that the K1 is still in AP is so confusing. We can't get answers from DOS nor can we get hold of anyone from the Embassy to let us know what's going on. All we want to do is be together once and for always. We will get there, but I can't go and spend time with my wife and she's only able to visit me once every 2-3 months, yes, I know some don't see their spouse or fiances that often. It's so crazy having to go through all this again.

wow. anyway to pack it in and have her immigrate to canada? sounds like your in a good ol us of a bureaucratic nightmare.

I wouldn't have my wife immigrate to Canada cause of commitments that she has in the US. We will just wait til this part of the journey is over and will be together in the end.
