andrea, maybe those people are thinking that you send your hubby money regularly thus, telling him to send your bank accounts to show that you do?:wacko:

No, I'm pretty sure that isn't the case. That's because I don't send him money!! They would see that when they see my bank account!! Maybe they want to know if he sends me money!!

Every night he comes up with another thing that he is concerned about because someone told him that he needs it for the interview. He is making me bonkers!! :bonk::wacko:

You know Ishazi, I'm not quite certain what in the world he is talking about. I think what is happening, too many people are telling him what he needs to bring to the interview. If we were doing the K1 or K3 visa, then he would need all the documents we sent to the NVC. Including the IRS documents and any assets we might have used (didn't need to because I was over the poverty limit). So I am slightly confused on what he is wanting. I don't think he meant to show proof that he is on my bank accounts because doesn't he need to be here to be added on to the accounts????

Anybody??

This sounds like a question that Christeen would know the answer too!!! :star:

Well, adding a hubby to the bank accounts (present or not) without a SSN is VERY difficult... In 6 years and 5 banks I was not able to do it with him here!!1 Someone said they were able to add their SO with HSBS,however I am sceptical??? so NO you do not have to add him to any accounts.

As far as the deposits and what to bring... The consulate probably sent you a checklist of what they have and what he needs to bring... If it is not marked to bring you are usually OK and they have it all...

The consulates are getting a bit picky about the financial documents as of late it seems... Since you are qualifying on your income alone, I would send him to the consulate with a current couple of pay stubs showing that you are indeed still employed... This should satisfy them if they want to be sure that you still have the financial means to keep him off the welfare wagon once he gets here... If you do not have paystubs, then the bank statements showing regular depositis would suffice...

Dont let him get too overwhelmed with the peanut gallery suggestions... Go over the documents that the consulate said they had, and what they marked they needed, bring the additional relationship evidence, current financial info and anything else they asked for and you should be fine...

Thanks Christeen! That is what I thought too but it's always good to get someone to back up what you were thinking in the first place.

I am definitely getting the most recent paystubs to bring along because I thought that would be reasonable. That would show where my paychecks are direct deposited into my account.

Even though the email clearly shows what he physically needs to bring to the interview, he still gets all kinds of "advice" from people even when they never dealt with the US Embassy. Everybody has a story!!:thumbs:

In the mean time it's making me loopy!!!:D

Give them at least a week after they have received it. It seems to take about a week to get from the mail room to where it is actually looked at!!!

I don't know Abbie. Do you have to make an appointment for your medical? I know my husband called yesterday and the office told him to call back the beginning of February for an appointment. Which is kind of frustrating because he had to take a 10 hour train ride to Cairo for the medical exam and then come back in a week or so for the results!!!

They better have an appt for him available!! Making him wait!!
