I'm actually off to visit my husband this week, and I'm a little nervous about the CO saying that I can't come in...I'm going to take a copy of my application so far, my bank statements here, my utility bills and of course my return ticket and hope for the best

Hello And_Sam I forgot to asking you something about your RFE? How many days you got an email to NVC for the confirmation they got the returned RFE of yours? It delivered my RFE 12/03/09.

I mailed in the RFE on 11/30 and I never got a confirmation email from them, it states on the AVR that they received the checklist letter on 12/02/09 and to give them 6-8 weeks for them to process the paperwork. I hope it's not that long!!!

I know I should be sleeping now and I should not stressed now. I called NVC for some questions about the AOS and IV package. Operator, was so helpful however I think I got a big problem now. I was in a J1 Visa (non 2 year rule) and I thought everything will be fine with my application as I don't need to waive the 2 year rule as most of the J1 visa holder has. Since I called NVC, i told them that I was in J1 but no 2 year rule and ask if it is better to include a copy of my J1 Visa to prove that I don't have the 2 year rule and not subject to 212 (e). She said, it is ok to have that but that copy is not enough as I need my DS 2019, but the big problem is, my DS 2019 is missing. She said, without the DS 2019, I need to get a waiver now and need to pay $545 for the I-612 form.

I hope someone had J1 Visa before, I don't know what to do now and I just want to finish the NVC process....

Oh Metro! I wish I could help you but you are just talking jargon to me on this one...I don't know what the J1visa let alone what the DS-2019 is for! Perhaps if you post this under a different thread maybe someone can help you!!

Thanks for all your wishes of good luck guys It's a looong flight from London to California and I really would rather not be turned back!!

Just to add, especially for Abbie, that I called NVC, the AVR was still the same, spoke to an operator who said that even though the DS-230 was delivered five days ago it still hadn't appeared on the system - call back at the end of this week, early next, and it might have been received. Don't worry, she said, it's in the building. Let's hope both ours are 'received' this week

Have a fun and safe trip Tree! I loved the trip from NYC to Cairo...I was too excited to sleep or watch the movies or anything!! I wish I was on my way now!

So far today, I have signed in 3 times and called the NVC only once!!! This is consuming my every waking moment!!!!

The AVR has been updated, they received the package on the 7th...Abbie hope you're soon, and MQ not far behind!! Anyone else have any news?

I think I'm going to be pulling two all-nighters, And_Sam, in order to make sure I've got everything (mostly unrelated stuff) done before I go, so I think I'll be sleeping on that plane whether I want to or not!! Even though I know I'll be back next month (and not on the next plane back to London ), it still seems like a long time, and yes I am excited Fingers crossed that we'll all be with our spouses properly soon

Update on my never ending case:

I Just got off the phone with the Sponser that is helping with the (AOS) he is still not done! He says he is finishing the paper work today and till tommorow when he gets the empolyment letter and check stubs. Then he will send it on Friday and i should recive it by Saturday. So i wont be able to send it NVC to till Monday.

And also the package hubby sent my should get here tommarow and till i make sure everything is filled out right on the DS-230 form. And put it together and print the cover sheet, Ill prob end up sending it on Monday also. The package just got to the UK. How will it arrive here by tommarrow?

Im so tired of this. people who started after me are already done and im still here. Im so tired of this.

Don't despair!! First of all, whenever I have sent something to the US, whether ordinary mail or registered,from London to New York is overnight...so if he sent it DHL I have no doubt that it'll be in the US tomorrow, and if you're not far from New York you might even get it the same day

I know exactly how you feel. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, I'm extremely pleased for everyone who finishes this process as quickly as possible. However, it makes me flippin' mad that USCIS and NVC process cases that were received after mine!!! I've had no RFEs, no mistakes (well, not yet anyway lol) and we're a pretty straightforward case...and yet we've been delayed time and time again for no reason and it's incredibly frustrating.

However, you and I are still ok. We're still well within the stated timelines. So far, we've not had any problems, and hopefully we won't. There are people that go through a LOT worse and who take a LOT longer...remember that

How much do you want to bet that you'll be done before me? ;)

Tree he sent if DHL overnight on Friday from jordon and now its in The UK. I dont know why it took so long he paid 100 bucks to get it overnight its been a 4 days! Ugh I wanna take a break if i send the fourms on monday i am not calling NVC or anything till after the Christmas holiday. i wanna have a break from all this work it gives me a head ach.
