you want to change your conditional green card to unconditional by yourself?

If there is no family violence involved, it is not easy.

This is not accurate. If the marriage has ended in divorce, the applicant needs to file the I-751 and check off the Waiver from the Joint Filing requirement. They then need to provide the same sort of evidence from the duration of the marriage that shows it was a valid marriage - joint financial records, income tax returns, shared accommodation ownership and/or responsibility; shared financial assets and liabilities, birth certificates for children, things like this that show they co-mingled their financial, personal and social lives together as a married couple.

Violence is not a normal aspect of a marriage that fails although it is part of some, unfortunately, and is certainly not a requirement for getting a waiver from the joint filing condition. USCIS is well aware that some marriages just don't work out - violence does not have to be one of the factors.

Yes I am removing conditions on my own. What makes you say it is not easy? Can you elaborate?

* Got married in August 2008

* initial interview in March 2009

* Green card received in May 2009

* Divorce January 2010

* I-751 filed April 27 of 2010

* Biometrics was supposed to be July 1st but I did a walk-in June 16 2010

* I don't know what's next

Gracie is a bit uninformed Machita. You can absolutely do it on yiour own, provided you have enough evidence of a bona fide marriage. :)
