I was supposed to go to a show there last summer but went to a festival in Canada instead. They're from Baltimore too or half of them is from there. I love them soooo much.

4) The Proposal

5) Twilight Saga: New Moon (*hides*)

And I have to say that 2009 was an awesome year, concert wise -- I saw No Doubt & Paramore @ the ACC, and then hit up Edgefest @ Downsview Park a few days later, so I got to see Metric, Alexisonfire, Billy Talent, etc.. etc. What a muddy day that was... but it rocked. :D (I haven't seen many concerts in my life. Oh so sheltered I was up until a few years ago...)

I'm with you there....went to AT LEAST one concert a month. 2009 will be hard to top.

Oh goodness, I love Emily Haines to pieces. Happy to see it on the list!

Yeah! I own about 850 CDs by about 300 different artists, and I'm tempted to say Metric is my favorite band right now. Them, the New Pornographers, TV On The Radio, Muse and Porcupine Tree would be duking it out for that honor. Just to...you know...throw in another top five.

Glorious, glorious choices ...!

I am still having difficulties believing that noone is mentioning District 9.

District 9 made it to my top 5 movies of all time, not just this year.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Haven't seen it yet! There are actually quite a few movies from this year that come out on DVD this month...and I only see 6 - 10 movies in theatres each year. I'm looking really forward to District 9 and Inglourious Basterds, as well as The Hangover.

I didn't mind that movie but it definitely wasn't my favourite. I couldn't get past how the ship just sat there ... like, after all that time it just sat there. It still makes no sense to me. Perhaps I missed the explanation about that ...

My top 5 movies:

1) STAR TREK! (I am not a Trekkie either but this was just such a great movie. I bought it for my fiance for Christmas and I am so stoked for him to open it so we can watch it! :D)

2) Inglorious Basterds (I guess I'm in the minority for liking this one but I thought it was brilliant.)

3) Zombieland (I loved this movie ... especially the cameo!)

4) Harry Potter (I love Harry Potter!)

5) I Love You, Man (So funny!)

Also, Wyatt's Torch ... I agree with you, Rachel Getting Married was a huge disappointment.
