HCMC Packet 4

For anyone who is upcoming and wonderding still about packet 4, attached is the latest packet 4. It was emailed to me by the HCMC Consulate today (30 November 2009). I didn't see anything different from the packet Scott had loaded in September but always good to check and keep on top of things. Sorry but they did not send packet three.

I have had pretty good luck with emailing the consulate when requesting info about something. My questions have been answered in about 10 days each time I sent a request and I have found the replies to be very cordial and helpful. Some of it is the "canned" response but also some appears to be thought out and very well replied.

I have all of our information for packet 4 compiled (not much else to do over a four day holiday without my loved one beside me so it was time well spent)!!! I created two "books" using a see through ringed folder. I inserted a cover page into the top of the folder which has the consulate information and our case number and petitioner and beneficiary information. When you open it - there is an index on the inside cover. I tabbed all the sections and included space for Doan to include her documents so everything is neatly in order as requested in packet 4. All the documents (originals and copies) are in clear sleeves so it is easy to identify. Everything up to and including the Evidence of Support is included in the first "book". The second book (which is quite thick!!) has pages of photos, tickets and receipts and coorespondence all inchronological order and tabbed by the months so it is all easy to locate.

I also included the I-797C and I-797 originals and copies. Anything I can think of I am including. If they dont request it ok but I'd rather have more than needed than less.

We are very excited and nervous both. We know what the possibilities are. All we can do is prepare to the best of our ability and hope and pray for the rest.

I did receive great news this morning. Doan sent me an email that her brother is getting married on the 21st so I will be able to participate in his wedding. I am so excited. I even updated my timeline and included this even though it will be after the interview. The fact that I will be part of his wedding cannot hurt to mention. (Luckily I can have the new timeline notarized here at work so it was a no brainer to add it. I have updated the timeline right up till the last minute (I'll be leaving Friday the 4th for HCMC. Planning on meeting up with Jim and Phuong the day of the interview so we can wait and talk together (if we can even talk hehe). May be a day of great silence. I hope and pray for us and for everyone who is in this.

I am so appreciative of the Visa Journey Family and all the help and hope when we are through this that I will be able to provide help and assistance to others too. I have learned so much here and am so thankful for all of you.

Best Wishes and Happy Holidays to Everyone and THINK PINK.

Oh - and thanks for listening - you know I'm really a quiet guy till my nerves go haywire then you'd think I'd been drinking haha!

Sounds like you're well prepared.

The "books" are for Doan, right? You know they won't let you submit a binder at the interview. It won't fit through the curved slot under the window. You have to hand them loose papers, but they do want them to be in the order specified.

Yes, the books are for Doan to take in. They are in flexible binders. I just wanted to make sure that everything was easily visible, well organized and easy to find. All I could picture was handing over a handful of papers and having them go flying throught the air!!!! This was she can remove the sleeve or just pull the requested papers out and everything else stays in place. I was going to two hole punch it like I did for the I129F package but to remove something you have to take it all apart and my god, if it got dropped you'd have a real mess on your hands!

Not sleeping to well these days! Hope soon to get a good nights rest! Looking forward to seeing you in HCMC

I had everything packaged together with ACCO's and have since seperated most of the content into an accordian type file with seperate areas for each document.. she can then pull each item as they are requested... the proof of bonafide is in 2 seperate ACCO's 1 pre engagement and 1 post. I read about too many people having problems with everything assembled upon arrival...
