When I try to track my visa, it says no record of reference and postcode combination, is this what everyone else has had?

Yes, it won't show up until the embassy passes it on the the courier company. Mine worked after I got the text. I hope it comes soon.

Thanks to all those that have sent pm's asking about our case.

Here is our latest.

We had a successful interview on the 1st Dec but completely out of the blue they asked for a copy of my son-in-laws passport data page. Despite it being submitted when my daughter sent the I-864a AOS some months earlier.

The consular official said that if we can get it back quickly then she will process in time for a Friday flight We had the copy back by the requested fax number within 3 hours.

Since then, one week today, we have heard nothing.

I have called the DOS a number of times and the just repeat what was asked of us at the interview. Then they say, 'It is probably there and not yet processed, give it another week'.

It is pretty sickening as really we have no indication if the fax arrived or was even processed.

We are tempted to resend the fax but are concerned that it may slow the process down even further.

So that is where we are.

Any advice, comments etc etc would be gratefully received.

Congratulations to all those who have actually heard from DX!

Best wishes

Richard

Still waiting here as well Richard.

The lack of information available on the premium visa helpline is very frustrating. It would be nice to be able to talk to someone who actually does know what is happening. When my visa was approved on the 30th Nov they said it would take 3 to 5 days to reach me. A lot of others have recieved theirs in this time. Now the helpline say that its 5 days before they even look at the visa. So what is right???

Just hoping that they have not lost everything, getting a new passport at this time of year will be a nightmare, argghhhhh.

I think the five day figure is a 'covering one's backside' statement.

They give a big number just in case. Heard it loads at the NVC this year. 6-8 weeks was what it said time and time again even when it actually took a few days.

It is so annoying.

I was told my visa interview would be 6 to 8 weeks from them receiving my checklist back, with at least one months notice - I was given 10 days notice!!!

I would honestly prefer it if they said it would take 4 weeks to process the visa, then I wouldn't be sat here worrying.

I called the visa non-information line earlier, they say I can't make an email enquiry about my status until 15 days after my interview, to thats a week away. Great.

But our visa notification will soon be here and we shall look back at this and laugh..... Somewhat manically but we shall laugh!

Sorry to hear it's taking so long.

I know for the K-1 they do say that any of the official documents can be requested again, even if they were previously submitted with the I-129F, so perhaps that was the case for your visa too.

It is pretty sickening as really we have no indication if the fax arrived or was even processed.

Did you get a fax confirmation from your fax machine? Maybe it depends on the machine settings on one or both ends, but whenever we send a fax at work we always get a fax confirmation sheet printed, showing part of what was sent.

Personally, I would consider re-sending the fax if you don't hear anything soon, with a cover sheet to explain why (include your case number and so on so it can be linked to your paperwork!). It might have been "lost in electronic transit" so they may still be waiting for it. They are unlikely to chase it up themselves, at least not soon anyway...

We had confirmation the the fax had been received. My concern was that the passport details did not show up well on the fax at the US Embassy end. Of course there is no way of finding out. Today I have sent the fax again and am also sending a hard copy.

Even with the first fax I sent a cover sheet plastered with our LND numbers and other details. I also asked if the could confirm by email or phone if they have sufficient information to progress. I am not holding my breath for that one! But you never know.

That IS good news. Nice to see that someone else has escaped the twilight zone of Grosvenor Square!

Bit disturbing about the lack of warning though. Had the DX website been updated?

Hi all

Just an update on our elusive visa. Our daughter phoned the NVC yesterday and they put her through to 'someone' in Washington DC. She was told that the consular officer who told us that our visa would be turned around in three days was not telling the truth! She said it would be at least a week before processing. Also my daughter was told to call this lady direct if we had any further problems.

If only the Consular Officer had told the truth in the first instance then we would not have had the stress and expense of rearranging flights etc.

Not really the answers we wanted yesterday but at least it gives us peace of mind.

Great to see all the visa's coming through though. I am concerned that DX have not been informing people beforehand. Did DX update the website despite not sending SMS messages?
