Me and Wifey are about to file the I-485 packet for her AOS...we have a few questions...

We are sending the I-485, I-864 (with 3 recent years of tax returns, 3 check stubs, and employment letter), G-325A, and I-765...

Do we need to send the I-131 also? If so, what do we put in the box for "departure date" and "length of stay" i.e. how long she needs to be gone from the USA? She isn't planning on leaving anytime soon, but we are not sure if we need to file the 131 anyway.

Also, what are the total fees for all these? How much $ do i send and who do i make the money orders out to?

Thanks.

Also, we are in Texas. Do we need to do something different with regards to filing the AOS? I saw something about people in Texas, Oklahoma, etc. in the AOS pinned thread, but the link didn't work there.

Yes. Mine i wrote "unknown ( for emergency purposes only )" both for the departure date and length of stay.

1010 to Department of Homeland Security. This is for adjustment of status, Parole to Travel and EAD

Thanks.

hello! the I-131 is for emergency purposes between the time you filed the AOS until such time the green card has been received. you may want to indicate departure date and length of stay as "to be determined". if you are filing the I-131 with I-485, you will not pay any fee but if filed separately, it will be 305usd.

for instructions on the I-485, you may click on the link -- http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...000b92ca60aRCRD

for instructions on the I-131, you may want to check this out -- http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...000b92ca60aRCRD

good luck!

The DORA test program (Dallas Office Rapid Adjustment) was shelved several years ago... it is no longer an active program

YMMV

So us being in Texas, we file just as everyone else then?
