After the interview @ Moscow does the CO give the beneficiary a receipt upon a successful/unsuccessful interview? I read something about pink paper for approvals? I know the visa gets mailed via DHL so is the pink paper the visa for some embassy's? Or is this just a receipt? I also read about blue paper for denials, AR, etc... Is this pink/blue receipt even used at Moscow?

If the interview is unsuccessful, does the CO specifically state why, and what you can do to appeal?

I don't believe you get a piece of paper stating approval. They will just saying something like, "Welcome to the United States.", then they will tell you are approved and that you will have your Visa in a week... but it has been 3 days for us and we got it. I guess it depends on how busy they are and where you live in Moscow or whatever.

Also, if you get some kind of 221G, (not a denial, but request for more evidence) then they will tell you right then and there what you need and give you a piece of paper which will be checked with more details, like Barron got one that said more emails, more phone records, etc. So you will know what is needed.

Oh, be sure, if they need something else from you/your soulmate, they will let you know. Usually if inteview was absolutely sucessful CO will say something like "everything looks in order and you will get your visa in one week". Or they will say that they need more paperwork or some administrative processing. In my case CO gave me yellow paper, and she marked "other" section stating administrative processing is required. If CO gives this paper to you it's not a denial. It means that either you need to send them more paperwork (what will be marked in 221g form) or they need administrative processing.

Oh, and they never give any paper stating that you will get your visa.

I think an important part to note is.....Do they keep their passports or hand them back?

If they are kept, you just need to jump through another hoop and you then are golden.'

From what you have relayed, you guys will be fine.

(Oh, and today we saw movement on her DHL mailer!)
