I have finally met the love of my life, we have spoken every single day on the internet, via phone, and via web cam.

I want to go to visit him soon. I just want to know how hard everyone will think it will be to get him to the USA to be a resident permanently. We are trying to figure this out together and this is my first step.

I understand my first step is to meet him correct? And show proof of meeting one another right?

I am new to this and I know there are people everyday from all around the world who want to be with one another who have to do this or cannot be at all.

I think there is a light at the end of every tunnel.......about how long do u think this process would take all in all?

Or does it depend?

Please everyone help us with all that u can help us with.

Thank you so much

Salam!! We are happy to have joined your list of friends, and will help you in any way that we can. Yes, your first step is to arrange to go to Morocco and meet this wonderful man. Make sure that you keep all the evidence of the trip, i.e., plane tickets/reservations, travel receipts within Morocco, take lots of photos together and with his family, etc. You will want to keep phone records of your conversations, as this will show further proof. Emails, chat logs, exchanged letters and cards, etc, will all help.

Whether you decide to marry or become engaged will determine which type of visa you apply for. It is not as intimidating as it sounds, and the USCIS website below is a big help in guiding you. Also, it will direct you to all of the necessary forms. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...000082ca60aRCRD But this cannot be filed until you return from Morocco with the proof of the visit and either an engagement or wedding. (Warning: getting married in Morocco requires patience and TIME. There are a lot of hoops to jump through, a lot of palms to grease!)

You should plan on about an eight month visa process. It can be shorter or longer, and there are no guarantees that he would be approved. But if your love is sincere, you will work hard to be together, and inshaallah, your patience would be rewarded!!

This is it in a nutshell.....of course there are lots of little steps along the way, and all of your VJ friends can help to guide you.

Good luck to you, and please feel free to send me a personal message so we can get to know each other a little better. I was in Morocco in July and just loved it. (Of course, what I loved best was being with Salim.)

So welcome to Visa Journey, let's get you started!!

All the best,

~Beth

Do you see how big the sea is?

Do you see how big the sea is? My love for you is as big as the sea.

Do you see how far the sky is? My love for you is as far as the sky.

As big as the sea and as far as the sky I love you,

I waited for you, I called upon you, I drew you on the promenades,

You sorrow of my life, you tears of the flowers, you season of the birds,

How vast the forest is, my heart is as vast as the forest.

You who are drawn on my door, and drawn in my heart,

I waited for you a year, and throughout the year I would ask the walnut trees,

and I would see you in the sunny days, coming from the sunny days, and lost in the almond leaves,

How small is a tear, and I am just a tear in your way,

I want to vow a candle so that you would let me love you.
