I looked at the sample form this site provides, but it did not answer my question. So i will ask it here.

At the bottom of the page it says, "Applicant: Print your name and alien registration number in the box outlined..etc"

It gives a space for last, first and middle name and an Alien #.

I am an American citizen, my husband is the one immigrating.

Do I put my name and HIS A number?

Or only my name?

I know if i mess this up they'll send it back, please help ><

I know my timeline sucks, but my husbands P.O.E was on January 7th, 2013!

Greencard in hand! After almost 4 years, WE DID IT!

Both you and your husband have to fill out the G-325A so answer that question as it applies to you. If you, the USC, do not have an alien number than put 'none'

Good luck.

It's possible he doesn't have an alien number yet either. If not, put 'none' as you would for yourself.

The biometrics form is used several times, sometimes before someone has immigrated and sometimes after.

Does this mean that you have abandoned the appeal and are refiling a new petition?

He didnt have an alien number to begin with, but with a 2nd NOA paper, they gave him an alien number.

I have not abandoned the appeal, they sent me a letter asking i submit a G-325A for myself and a passport photo of myself.

After discussing what information you shared yesterday, my husband said just continue (since we have sunk about $400 into this already) Before we start over. You said the other way is less time consuming, but honestly we are strapped for money.

I didnt ignore your advice, honestly. Its just..for us money is more of a problem than time.

Futhermore:

If this is denied, we're going to wait until i get gainful employment. We're scared the fact I dont have a job at the moment will delay any forward actions. Well we're nervous about a lot of things, but that is the main thing.

@ Canadian Wife: Thank you for your response :D

I hear ya on struggling financially, I really do. I just had to abandon school so I could get a job to afford life again. It's just impossible to study, raise a single-parent family AND immigrate. I'm not too cut up about it because I wasn't that far in and the qualification I was working towards would have been nearly useless in the US (apart from using the sociology course and translating it into credits for pre-requisites..)

Just prepare yourselves for the appeal to be refused. The very purpose for an appeal is if you as the petitioner feel that the USCIS were mistaken in their decision. Since you didn't provide the required documents, they were totally within their right to deny your petition. Battling with the USCIS is like beating your head against a brick wall - the only ones that end up hurting are you :(

If you don't have to pay for the appeal, then yeah, file it. There's no harm in trying if time isn't a problem. But we're talking months. If you are actively seeking employment, you might find a job tomorrow. Find out if you can withdraw the appeal just in case, because you don't want to get stuck having to wait months for the appeal when you have a job and would otherwise be filing a new petition. Does that make sense?

Immigration sure is a nerve-wracking process! I'm not 'upset' that you chose to pursue the appeal. Everyone is free to do as they feel best! I was more concerned that you were going to end up in an unnecessarily long and emotionally difficult struggle before you've even properly started. It's like that saying 'pick your battles to win the war'.

When my husband and I did the G325A for that particular question on my form I just filled in my name info. and put none for alien #

for my husbands portion of the form (he is the beneficiary) we did exactly the same as he does not have an alien registration # (none)
