hello VJ,

This website is absolutely awesome.. helped me with the filling of my forms..

well, here is my problem..

i filled out my I-485, I-130 etc on the 12th of september but didn't mail it out cos i didn't have the funds plus i didn't know i had to go for a medical.. i did the medical on the 13th of october.

well, its now november and i just finally put together the money and will be sending out my forms at the end of the week.

my question is do the forms expire, being that i have signed the forms since september?

can i still mail them out or do i have to type them and sign them all over again?

thank you very much for your help in advance..

The forms do not expire. What visa did you use? Why did you need another medical exam? If you had a medical exam within one year of filing for the AOS (in your hime country) you did not need another.

What visa are you adjusting from that you need the I-130?

I strongly suggest you read the guides and the instructions for the AOS from the visa you have.

Technically the forms DO expire, but only if they are replaced by other forms. The expiration date of the forms is printed in the corner, but your signature does not "expire"

Hello,

Thank you very much for the reply..

I had an F-1 visa, i've been in the US for over 6 years and i hadn't done any medical exam in over a year..

I"m filing for AOS cos i just got married a few months ago..

What i meant was that i dated and signed the I-485, G325A, etc over 2months ago.. i was just concerned about the dates...

I will be taking new passport photos since the pictures have to be less than 30days old....

i know the signatures don't.. but what about the dates of filling the forms?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

i know the signatures don't.. but what about the dates of filling the forms?

Thanks in advance

Doesn't matter when you filled in the forms, since the completion isn't recorded date wise. What matters is the information is still current. The signature date is what dates the form itself, as long as it hasn't expired and is the most recent version of the form. You can ensure that it is by checking on the USCIS website.

I've got all my K1 forms complete and waiting for signature once we are legally able to file. Even started on the I-134s and packet 3s. lol

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

The forms have an expiration date. See top right corner for the Exp date.

If it's close or over, you may want to check the USCIS.gov website for updated forms. If you send in an expired form that has a newer version available, they may (not always) still accept it. Or they may return it to you to re-submit. A bunch of people had the I-765's rejected a while back when there was a revised version.

Thank you very much for all your replies..

Yes, the forms are intact so i guess i am fine...

i have another question though; is it preferable to write a check or buy a money order and include a voided check in addition the the i-864?

thanks a lot..
