AOS and IV fees....what the ****.

I think this question has been answered before but I just want to be clear, in case when I call the NVC tomorrow I end up more confused...

So we received the choice of agent form and sent it in, it was accepted.

Then we were prompted to pay the IV fee, and the AOS fee. So we paid. Then we waited for further notice because of the ominous warnings on the NVC page....to wait. The cover letters say green light, but they don't say anywhere to "download the I-864 off of the website".

But we haven't gotten any mail and it's been a month. So I panicked for the potentially huge loss of time and just went ahead and downloaded the AOS forms, attached both the AOS and IV barcode cover sheets, and sent it with all the supporting documents. Did I jump the gun? If not, please tell me why they tell you to wait for further notice and never tell you specifically to download the forms.

I wish someone besides a ridiculously expensive lawyer could take care of this for me, I have ADD and am really having a hard time....I think I make things more complicated than they are. ARRGHH I should have called them after a week or two, I don't know how time got away from me...I care so much about this and I feel so careless.

If you attached the barcoded PAID receipts with your AOS and IV package, you should be fine.

Once the payment is accepted, it's absolutely alright to go ahead and send your package in. There's no need to wait for the NVC to send you anything because as far as I understand, they don't.

Good luck with everything!

Ok thank you! :) I didn't even realize the DS 203 was different than the DS 3032. Ohhh I'm a mess.

The DS 3032 is the Choice of Agent form. Once that is accepted, the IV bill is generated for your DS 230.

if you are doing 'electronic payment' - then make sure you get the payment receipts printed, from the payment portal.

Then include the payment receipts on your subsequent nvc submittals - ie -

DS-230 form with original documents when you pay the IV fee,

I-864 with financial info/tax forms, when you pay the AOS fee.

Now - you ask, can you submit all forms together? absolutely (I-864, DS-230 ) with all of the payment receipts.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
