I filed I-130 for my wife and I-129f. The I-130 has been approved, but did I need to file a seperate I-130 for my stepchild? I understand that the stepchild can get visa along with my wife through the single I-129f application, but what about I-130? Thanks.

Yes, your child can get a K4 visa along with your wife's K3. BUT you need a seperate I-130 for child to adjust the status as LPR once they are here in the US.

So, I would go ahead and apply another I-130 for the child as well.

Yes you need to have an I-130 for each person you petition for.

But, the K-3 does not require everyone to have n I-130.

So, you will need a I-130 if you pursue the I-130 or you can take the K-3 route and do the childs documents in the states.

I did the same thing intentionally but I think it might bite me in the butt now that IMBRA slowed down the K-3.
