Me and my friend got married last Nov. 23 here in PI. We are planning to file a K3 visa. But On my part, Im little bit scared in getting my own required docs such as NBI clearance and Police clearance, because of the loan unpaid when I was working in Hong kong. It was a loan made by my co worker in the house in HK under my name. she promise to pay for it but yet failure to do so when i left HK. Im afraid that the bank might report me on Police and NBI offices. We are planning to to pay for it but we are out of budget as of this time coz my husband is poor with regards to american standard. Does anybody heard any stories like this. I want to be with my husband sooner coz he needs a wife to take care of him because he is sick. The main reason why I marry him because he is my bestfriend and I love him so much and he needs me. On the other hand, can I apply for a work visa while waiting for a K3 visa? Thank you. I will appreciate your reply. God bless us all.

I guess the first thing to do is see if anything comes up on the police certificate in HK. If there is nothing on it, then there is nothing to worry about. Your husband being 'poor by American standards' might be another issue you will want to resolve - making sure he meets the monetary requirements to petition for you.

We all want to be with our spouses sooner. To get a work visa, you must have a US company sponsor you. You cannot simply apply for a work visa and hope you get one without a job to go to in the US. Do you have a company willing to sponsor you? Even so, it is not likely to be approved if you have an American husband and have intentions on immigrating to the US.

Congrats on marrying your friend. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. Maybe will stick to K3 visa. Yes, Have a sponsor for a work in US if possible. but as you said, maybe my application will be deny since i am already married to an american. With regards to monetary req, yep......it's another problem. I give it all to the Lord, if it's His will, God will make a way. God bless you.
