name change????

hey everyone,

my wife and i have filed for her aos and recently received her employment authorization!!!!

she wanted to chenge her name after the wedding to take my last name.

is it ok to change her name even though we applied for the aos with her real last name??

is ther a form or a process i can go through to change her name officially with the uscis and

the aos process that we are going through??

It's too bad you did not just send in the AOS with her new name as that would have taken care of it. Of course you can change it now or later but it will be a bit more complicated. I'm sure someone will let you know what the required forms are.

I did the same thing, applied in my maiden name for other various reasons. I was able to request the green card to be approved in my married name during the interview.

If you are adjusting from a K-1, you may be approved without an interview. I recommend you setting up an infopass and asking them to change the name in their system.
