Question about my passport

When I went to England back in March, I only stayed a week. I have an entrance stamp in my visa but I don't have an exit stamp. I gave my passport to passport control at Gatwick but they didn't stamp it. Will I have some explaining to do when I return or will they see that I did leave when they scan my passport?

I'm worried that if I don't go back before the visa time frame is up, I could be accused of overstaying my visa, and that's really going to exacerbate things (Yeah I'm a Shaun of the Dead fan )

Has anyone else come across this before? I can scan a copy of my visa page if you need more information.

Vicky, I dont have any exit stamps in my passport either from when I left the UK last fall.

oh ok, as long as I'm not the only one then... I never thought to ask untill now, I may not be going back for a while I think. He's coming over here for a visit in November tho

very good movie, if you are a horror fan, tons and tons of refrences to horror movies of days past My favorite refrence had to be, "We're coming to get you Barbara." I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself!

My husband or American family have never had an exit stamp from the UK, just the entry date. Germany is very conscientious about the entry and exit date stamps but I've never seen one from the UK.

I got entry only stamps from the UK in London Gatwick, I got one when I entered coming from Detroit and one when I arrived from Tunis, but those are 2 arrivals.
