hello guys, i just wanna know how is the eeling during interview and what common question do they ask??

hello! anticipating the interview with the consul at the US embassy will make you very nervous. haha! but just relax. it's not as bad as you might think. the staff are very pleasant and courteous. just make sure you have all the necessary paperworks and everything will be smooth sailing.

here is my personal experience during my interview in june 09 -- arrived at the US embassy in manila around 440am with my fiance. there were about 30 to 40 people already there. i suggest that you don't go there that early. you may arrive before 6am. the guard will ask people to line up around 6am depending on the time of the scheduled interview. before 630am, we were already inside the embassy. quite strict with the no cellphone or electronic gadget policy. bawal talaga ito.

before you get to talk to the consul, you will have to go through 3 queuing:

(1) to get you queue number and submit your DS156 & 157 forms. if you paid your visa fee at BDO, the bank will provide you a validated 157 form and the bank receipt.

(2) document submission -- birth cert, nbi/police clearance, cenomar, affidavit of support & related docs, DS156K.

(3) finger printing

------

(4) interview with the consul -- tip here: the questions you were asked during your document submission are the same questions the consul will ask you (sort of validation maybe). be consistent with your answers and know the documents you have submitted (i.e. emails, photos, chats) by heart. the consul will ask a test question so don't make up any answers if you are not sure.

sample questions:

- what did you do in singapore?

- where did you meet your fiance?

- when did you start to chat?

- when did you first meet each other?

- how many times have you met each other?

- how did he propose to you?

the interview took less than 10 minutes. the consul was very nice and gracious. i would give it a 5. i have observed that other consul did not allow the fiance to go with the beneficiary inside the room. was lucky he allowed my fiance to come in with me.

good luck and god bless

hello guys, i just wanna know how is the eeling during interview and what common question do they ask??

My fiancee' (now wife!) says theses were her questions...She went in July 09

1. Where does your fiancee' live? (city/state)

2. Where and what does/is your fiancee' work?

3. What is his complete address in USA?

4. How many times, where and when (exact dates!) did you meet? (his visits)

5. What are your wedding plans?

6. What is his phone number in the USA?

7. Have you talked to any of his family?

My wife had 2 "interviews". 1st was a philipina. The 2nd was US consul. They both asked the exact same questions so don't be surprised at that

The consul was rather strict but not in a mean way, just overly professional maybe.

Wife says not to be nervous, or you may get a mental block..............relax. You will do FINE!

K-1 Oct. 21 interview questions:

1. How did you meet?

2. When did he visit you?

3. How long was the visit?

4. How old is he?

5. How old are you?

6. What's his profession?

The interview process is not as complicated or scary as it sounds, at least based on my experience... Just prepare all the necessary documents and relax. Goodluck!!!

Hi to all! My son just passed the interview on November 12 and we just arrived here in Rhode Island Saturday, Nov. 28. The consulate is kinda easy on conducting the interview for minors. The only hardship that we had was when he was held up at St. Luke's for 7 months and I thank GOD that we've already passed that stage.

To all families who's passing that stage in St. Luke's just be patient and very soon your turn will come. Thank you to a few friends of mine in this forum for helping me pray in my son's journey. I will be around to ask your questions if you want to ask me.

Good luck to all the future interviewees.

Hi! I like it here except the winter time. My husband works in a laundromat and drycleaning business for a long time and we can't just leave this area. I learned to love RI because this is where my dearest husband is residing. We are in Woonsocket, a small city here and very peaceful one. I don't like the crowded city, Providence is one crowded city but not so busy as Manila.

Good luck on your interview, God is good and I know you will make it.
