Just to let you all know, the scum of the earth is out doing their grocery shopping today. Someone hit one of my kids with a shopping cart and didn't apologize. I went freakin bizzerk. Joe was just walking next to me holding my hand and POW some b*tchy lady hits him with her cart, and it hurt. After she didn't apologize, I walked up to her and asked her if she always whacks kids with shopping carts. You should have seen her face OMG. Of course she didn't say anything and was probably cursing me out in her mind.

Someone else huffed at me like 3 times because I was taking too long in an aisle for them. I looked at them and said, "you can go around me you know, I'm kinda pregnant and it takes me a long time to bend up and down and put things in my cart. Sorry to inconvenience you."

Freakin idiots. I prefer to do my grocery shopping in the morning during the week when the old people are shopping. They are so much nicer, they don't whack kids with carts and they're not in a mad rush. They even stop and say hi to the boys sometimes. I old people

Not at all. I thoroughly dislike my mother-in-law, and tonight is pushing me ever closer to the final straw with her. I am sick of her rubbing in our faces that she has a BSN and an RN designation. I am sick of her trying to show off their money to us. I am sick of her belittling us as people. I am sick of her obnoxious, over the top comments. As an example, we were watching TV and the characters were talking about missing each other. What was her wonderful contribution? "He doesn't miss her, he just has to masturbate more." This coming from a 53 year old woman.

There is a lot more to it, but she is a very sick woman - too many pain pills, too much alcohol, not enough restraint. Her husband enables her. He knew I was upset with her comments towards me and changed the subject.

I cannot wait to move away from them. I wish my grandmother was at home so I could call her and vent, but she is away on a church trip.

She's not a very nice person, Amby. At all. She kicked my husband out of their house because I "ruined" her weekend. This was 3 days before Christmas 2004. I'm just getting sick of it all and am having a hard time being civil and taking the high road. My husband hasn't told his parents that we're moving to Florida, but he was very close to doing it tonight because of how angry we both were.

No offense Mal, but being someone close to her age I find nothing wrong with her remark other than she should have kept it to herself.

I think the move will be wonderful. Your MIL is a toxic person and I don't blame you in the least for wanting to get as far away from her as possible. Taking the high road and showing mercy is certainly not an easy thing to do. I commend you highly for your strength and courage in dealing with your strung-out MIL.
