My mom and my husband emailed the choice of agent form. It has been two weeks now and the NVC havent gotten to my email yet. They need the choice of agent address info to continue with the case. How long does it takes when you email the choice of agent address form to the national visa center? I am a little concern!!!

Of course the USCIS tells you that it takes five months to complete an I-130 for an immediate family member. How does it really takes to complete the I-130 for your parents and husband/wife? I filed the petition sinced july.I am an American citizen.

Hi neyay,

Is your I-130 approved? Did you get NOA2 in mail? If it was aprroved, then you and the benificieries must have gotten an email asking to send DS-3032 Choice of Agent form. It doesn't take too long after you recieve NOA2 to get an email from NVC regarding DS-3032. And when you email choice of agent to NVC via email, they send you a confermation email saying they have recieved your choice of agent and will send you the IV fee. This shouldn't take more than a week.

I don't know about parents, but for spouse, depending on when you filed, it takes 1 to 4 months for the approval of I-130. I have noticed that if you filed the petition in August, it's approved very fast, like within a month.

November 16, 2009: Sign-in Failed!!
November 16, 2009: December interviews already scheduled. Operator told me to wait for a possible January interview date. Call back in the 2nd week of December
November 30, 2009: Been trying to call NVC but line busy since late after noon. Finally, got email appointment letter from NVC with the Interview date of January 19, 2010. Yeppe Alhamdulillah>
December 24, 2009: Medical Done and report recieved the same day.
January 11, 2010: Medical submitted at VFS. They asked for: Copy of Packet 3, Appointment letter, and Passport. They told her to take a copy of I-864 and the documents submitted with it, at the time of interview with other proof of relationship documents.
January 19, 2010: VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 21, 2010: Visa recieved in mail (Package included passport with visa stamped, sealed big brown envelop to be submitted at POE immigration at the airport, and instructions to apply for SS Card)

USA
February 07, 2010: POE Chicago --> Very easy, within 45 minutes
March 02, 2010: SS Card recieved in mail. Welcome letter recieved in mail as well
March 13, 2010: GC Recieved in mail

January 29, 2015: N-400 Application submitted

Yes, my petition was approved on the october 19th by the uscis. What is an NOA2? Well, i got the choice of agent form in the mail. My mother and husband both received the choice of agent form in their country.They both emailed the choice of agent form on the 13th or 14th of november. they received a confirmation emailed and haven't gotten any response from the NVC yet. Your information will help.

Did you call NVC ? if not - do so - they will send you a DS-3032 kit back, via email - which will contain the 'electronic payment' portal information for the AOS fees.

Start with that, and forget to 'wait for NVC to do something' .

The process at NVC is parallel - you not have to wait on much stuff, be pro-active instead.
