Amman, Jordan US Embassy / Consulate Info in the embassy info on this site that i need the following

Packet 3 Contains: DS 156

DS 230

and

I134

Are these things that will be sent form NVC to the embassy cuz dont we fill out a DS-230 for NVC?

i Know he was to have a medical done but what is the DS-156 And I-134?

i just wanna know what to be ready for.

And is it true you have to wait 2 months 2 get an interview?

And about how long after the interview will you recive your visa?

Sorry for all the question.

well, hypothetically, once you've paid you AOS fee, you will be getting an email from them verifying that you paid and then you will be able to log back into the NVC payment page and download the cover letter(s) that you will need to submit with your package.

for the AOS (affidavit of support) package, you will probably need the i-1864 which can be found here:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

that form will give you details on what you need to submit. if you have a co-sponsor, they will fill out the same form. if your co-sponsor lives in the same household as you, they will fill out the i-1864A which is here:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...000b92ca60aRCRD

when you've paid the IV fee, you will also get a cover letter to download and print from that same site:

https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

and then you can download the ds-230 and ds-3032 from there.

once you're done sending all this stuff, it's up to NVC to process it all and then find a date for you to schedule. i'm not sure about the 2 month thing, because it varies from consulate to consulate.

good luck!

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

TBC....

It took us three months to get an interview. Our case was completed on May 21 and the interview wasn't until August 24th.

As far as the Visa, there are several people on VJ, from Jordon, that have gotten their visas pretty quick...few days to a week.

We weren't that lucky. We are waiting on AP to finish...hopefully, it won't take too much longer.

If you go to the the immigration timelines...and then go to Jordan...you can get a better idea of what is happening now.

I hope you don't have to wait on the visa. Good Luck!
