Lucky for you your posts only go back 10 pages. And let's not forget your I Hate Mexicans user id either.

The what? Dude where is this ####### coming from. Or are you really Rob? You sure do sound like him.

Anyways, I couldn't remember nor care to remember what you posted yesterday. Hence, I am not obsessed with what your little posy here posts.

I admit what I say and do. You don't. Change the subject. Again.

You guys are missing the point. The piece of sh!t who did this was obviously NOT a law abiding citizen. It's highly unlikely he was licensed to carry the gun he used. People who are licensed to carry hand guns rarely do stupid things like this. The fact that someone would jump through the necessary hoops to get a license would mean they are inclined to follow the law. Besides, if he really felt threatened by the dog then he would have shot the dog rather than the owner.

You can pass all the gun control laws you like, but you're not going to stop scum like this from killing people. Gun control laws only affect people who actually FOLLOW the law.

Agreed !

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Fail. You don't pick dates that suit your agenda.

Now how come you can pick dates that fit your agenda but I can't? Also, I suggested we be fair and use an AVERAGE instead of me totally owning you and using dates that fit my agenda. Just for $#!ts and grins though, why don't you go ahead and post the stats for 1995 and 1999? You still haven't done that yet. Wonder why. (Once again I'll suggest the AVERAGE!)

You pick the rate prior to the gun restrictions and you then look at the latest, which I have done.

Yep, you've done that about 30 times yet you still haven't posted the numbers for 1995 (before the restrictions) and 1999 (after the restrictions). Please post those. Also, since I'm a fair guy, why don't you post the AVERAGE overall homicide rate for AUS in the past 14 years.

No arguing, no questions.... just please, post those two numbers for me.

Same deal with you insulting. You throw an insult, even a "you're stupid" and I go for the knees. You be civil, I remain civil. While I disagree with Slim, at least this guy knows how to have a discussion without resorting to insults. Strange that this is usually the case with any conservatives here. Whereas, if he was a lib, by the forth post he would have cried like a baby, thrown an insult, and then reported me for going for the knees.

I can't count myself as a real conservative. I favor mandatory abortions/sterilizations for those on the dole, "the gays" don't bother me, and I believe we should keep illegals in favor of welfare recipients. I guess I'm kind of a progressive conservative or a liberal libertarian. Either way, I like my guns and my Liberty. While I don't think anyone should be forced to do anything (waiting on the "you just said mandatory abortions" folks to chime in - can't wait to respond) I think everyone should be accountable for their own actions.

Strange concept, holding people accountable, I know, but I'm a firm believer in the possiblity of it's success.

As for "going for the knees" in a debate, there's only one good way to win a fight. You don't die for your country, you make the other guy die for his.

I didn't pick dates by choice. I picked the latest year versus the year prior to the legislative change. Picking three years later is ridiculous by any stretch, especially when changes like these take years to take effect. After all, Aus is not China. It's not as if they went door to door searching for these weapons. They have to remove them as they find them on people. The American drive-through attitude towards everything doesn't work in real life.

Why would I post the average? The average is ust that the average. It does not illustrate an increase or reduction. The best way to determine what is happening to the homicide rate is to plot it on a graph and determine the trend, which without doing so in excel is clearly decreasing.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Based on the 2008 homicide rate (per 100,000 people), The United states has 480% more homicides than Australia. Using another first world example, Japan has even more restrictive gun laws and the police have broad search and seizure powers to do their job, to protect their citizens, their homicide rate is 92% lower than America.

Was it not an American's right to own slaves at once? Use child Labor, pay cents to the hour for 12 hour shifts etc..

The only time citizens with guns were useful was during the revolutionary war. 234 years have passed since then.

You can drink at 14 in some countries but that does not mean it's a smart idea.

I also agree with Charles on this one. I hope they catch the guy & he's convicted of murder (there is absolutely no way that self defense can be argued unless there are some extraordinary facts missing from the story).
