A red herring is an idiom referring to a device which intends to divert the audience from the truth or an item of significance.

I can roll with your idiocy. What is the race of the majority of the people in the FBI's most wanted link in my signature? French, Canadian, Japanese .. .ah Australian right? Or are they made up and racist too?

As you can see with the FBI figures posted above, An African American male is 7.2 times more likely to kill someone than a Caucasian. But I guess you actually have to have AA living in your state to even realize that.
