Hi,

I have just received the letter stating I will need to file my I-751 soon. However, USCIS currently have my old address on their records. Do I need to call USCIS to change the address or should I just send the form with the new address without informing USCIS. I am thinking they should be able to tell who I am from the A#...

the petitioner and beneficiary are both supposed to file change of address forms when they move.

form I-865 is to be filed by the petitioner by mail : http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-865.pdf

and form AR-11 is to be filed online by the beneficiary.

Follow the instructions for change of address. It's not the adjudicator's responsibility to update the system. Returned mail from an old address can cause delays in your case. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa

Just an extra layer to be sure the address change is in the system, go ahead and mail in the hard copy of the AR-11 Electronic receipt to the London, KY address shown on the AR-11 form ( http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/AR-11.pdf ).

From the way you are wording your message, it seems like you filed a change of address but they still don't seem to have the address updated. If so, then don't worry. I had the same scenario and I heard from several people that they had the same. When it is time to file your I-751, just use your new address and file to the proper service center.

Again, this is only if you did file change of address form.

Our reminder letter was addressed to our former residence and that reminded us to change our address with USCIS because we had just movd and not done that yet. I was concerned then, when sending in the I-751, especially because our NOA took 9 days to get here. However, they have the correct address - as they should since it's on all of the paperwork (and we eve noted our former address when they asked).

I'd wait to see what happens.

Hi filed my AR-11 form online a couple of days ago, just to note the address change. I am trying to call them just to make sure also, but not having much luck in getting through to them at the moment.

We filed change of address for both the beneficiary and sponsor, forms AR-11 and I-865 respectively. I filed mine online and the girl said I wouldn't get a notice by mail for it, but that the system should be updated. My husband, the sponsor, got a notice by mail of the address change. Is this enough to make sure our forms came through? Or should we call USCIS? Do we call USCIS and use my last receipt number to track the address change?

I filed my address change online in March 2009 when we moved, and filed my husbands my mail. We just got our letter to remind us to file I-751, but it was sent to our old address. We have the letter they sent confirming his change of address but we have nothing to show that i did it, but i know we did. So we'll be sending in our I-751 next month with our new address on it and hope its ok.

I don't know why, but they usually send reminder letter to old address (AOS filed address).

So, you'll be OK :)
