Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Tamara - your menu sounds great....

Henna Rose- I have had deep fried turkey and it was awesome, but it really deepens on who makes it. It was the juicest and most flavorful turkey I have ever had.

Stacy - So wishing I had some egg nog right about now

I am just waking up from my Thanksgiving nap and still feel the need to nibble on a little more. I have been in the kitchen all day.

Menu: Herb roasted cornish hen, Turkey parts (wings, neck, and leg) huge, green bean casserole, zucchini cream stuffing, baked mac and cheese, salad, cornbread pudding, fruit salad. I was too lazy to make a big traditional turkey.

Pretty simple in that it was just the two of us this year and my fam is around the country visiting others. No we haven't begun to eat all of it, hopefully tomorrow we can work on those leftovers. I wish everyone I great holiday.

Cassandra ~ I still would like to try the deep fried turkey sometime. I know my friends on the East Coast have mede it and they said it was real good, but as you said probably depends who makes it. I am not a black Friday shopper, so will be sleeping in. Actually, the only thing I may be interested in getting are some movies tomorrow. I love giving the gift of movies for Christmas. :pop:

Happy Thanksgiving all... :D

I hope everyone had a great day with family/friends. We still have guests now...LOL. Some friends that actually had to work today so they came later...watching movies and hanging out.

(F)

I hope your turkey turned out delicious or did you have to use the "back up" plan?

Bajih ~ I make this awesome "Turkey Wreath" each year that is a filling of diced turkey, mayo, celery, dried cranberries, swiss cheese and some seasonings all wrapped in cresent roll dough to form a wreath and baked to crispy perfection. It's really yummy and I also serve it for Christmas Brunch

Back up plan! I "turkied" (chickened) out...LMAO. Hubby made several trays of his Egyptian chicken/potatoes and onions and I made my famous rice :P I was afraid for my first try so I'm going to make it today and see how it goes for perhaps the end of the year/christmas time if I don't kill this bird. :P
