Maybe its a factor of distance, as well. Those closest to the Service Center were bound to receive their RFE's sooner than those of us in the Midwest. For us, that is one of the big problems with the NSC to CSC transfer that took place. Calif is far from being centrally located!

Agree!

Hi there,

I'm new to posting on this site - it has been a great find though, thanks to everyone for all the info over the last few weeks of nail biting...

Just wanted to let people know.... I just got an e-mail saying our case was APPROVED and an approval notice was mailed on July 21, 2006!!!

Our NOA1 date is April 12, 2006. IMBRA RFE was received in the mail on 06/30 and we returned it 07/03. Got the usual e-mail acknowledging receipt of the RFE on 07/08.

Hope this means NOA2s for all will be coming in the next few days.....

Good luck.

Abigail.

Our NOA1 date is March 22, and our RFE was returned on 6/29, signed for 6/30, offficially recieved on July 5th as stated in email, and I live 1 hour from CSC....dates all significantly earlier than this approved petition. Does that strike anyone as strange? Situation apply to anyone else? This doesnt even allow for the "processing in order of RFE receipt" argument.

Out of curiosity Abigail (or any others who could respond).... at what point in the business day, if you know, did the notice come? I know myself and many others check for updates numerous times a day. I'd be interested in knowing if they batch email approvals at the end of the day, beginning of the day, or as they are completed....

I can't answer on apporvals and when they send them out..however, all my status updates be it the sending of the RFE and the receipt of it all came later in the evening so it appears in some cases they send out late at night

Just because she got hers first doesnt mean yours isnt on someone else's desk, she got lucky for some reason. Nothing CSC does makes any sense, I have the same RFE date as you and our NOA1 date is a week earlier and I havent seen NOA2 either. Just holding our breath and hoping it comes thru in couple of days.

i am in the same boat as you joseph.... almost exactly same process information except for NOA which was march 16 for me. but we are days apart. Even the Postmark on my RFE envelope sent by CSC was dated on the 27th of june, and that is why i have received it on the 28th. I live 15 mins away from laguna niguel. Dont get me wrong, im happy with the approvals that have been happening, at least we know something is going on. i just dont see any form of pattern as to how these approvals are being processed. it's quite mind boggling. There hve been many various responses as to how this situation is being tackled. Some were told, it is in the order of Received RFE, some even based on NOA1. it's all a big blur.

lets just hope that things get rolling out soon. it's a very tiresome and tedious, not to forget stressful process as it is, and to think we are not even half way done with it....

keeping my fingers crossed....

Mine have come out pretty much anytime of the day or night, and any day of the week except sunday. Even saw some issued on the 4th of the July, no pattern, no reasoning.

Congratulations!!

For those who cannot believe you because you were not lucky enough to find VJ before you sent in your petition... get over it.

If you can't believe it you don't need to make it a public announcement. Be happy or be sad for this person and no one else will care.

My apologies....poor wording probably.

I wasnt questioning the believability of the approval, just still searching for some sort of pattern that will help pass what are becoming increasingly more frustrating and anxious days.

I know I'm not alone.

Everyone's support, advice, and opinions on VJ are pretty much all most of us have right now!

Joseph, what state are you in? Have you contacted your Senator? Our NOA1 dates are a day apart although you received your RFE long before I did. I have been trying to reach my contact at my Senator's office for clarification (read: truth) regarding how they are processing these. Well, really I just want to raise some hell since it's obvious that NOA1 dates are not being followed. Just wondering if you've done that yet or plan to.

I am in California.

I understand your sentiment exactly....I sort of just feel like raising hell right now too, not really expecting any Senator or case worker to do much for me at the moment. BUT...that being said...I'm desparately looking for some NOA2's or some sort of pattern to emerge...to feel out how strongly I should freak. I'm hesitant to get my Senator involved at this very moment in the even that my case is in front of someone...maybe this is the wrong way of looking at it...but that is why I am so active watching the details of any and all info coming out of CSC...is the only way to really gauge what to expect, and consequently some peace of mind!!! Best of luck to you!! I hope we are both having postive posts very shortly!!!

Am curious...did you get a touch on July 20th?

That was the day that Senators declared that petitions were supposedly being assigned to adjucators, and 'should' be an indication that its in line....

I would engage your senators, I live in california and have engaged both Feinstein and Boxer. They are both inquiring into the situation, no answer yet but at least they are aware. The more people who raise hell the better, eventually someone will get the message.

Kitkat

Wish I could say it was good to be back, one of these days both you and I will move on to the embassy and I-601 boards.

Course will probably hang out here too, at least until Lisa gets home and I have something more important to do!!!!!!!!!!! Like love on her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No I didnt, but to tell the truth nothing surprises me. There have been cases prior to IMBRA where people never got touches and one day the NOA2 just showed up.

I have yet to see any type of pattern in touches that means anything other than they moved your file around. unless someone can prove to me with statistical data that touches really mean anything, the only thing I am going to get excited about is an update that tells me I am approved, or denied.

Joseph - I agree with Dwar. There's no harm in contacting your Senators. I really believe the more people call their senators the more they will end up bombarding CSC with inquiries and complaints. And that may be the only way we influence them to actually do something. So if you're up for it, you should give it a shot.
