Intent to make specific contributions?

Hey guys,

I looked at the example form for the I134 and the last question is something like 'I intend/do not intend to make specific contributions....'. The answer to this in the example is 'N/A. K1 visa...'. I just wondered if anyone could clear this up for me. My fiance (USC) just got laid off so we are having to fill in his I134 as 'unemployed' status. On his mother's I134, she wanted to tick the 'I intend' box as she is going to give me shelter and food even if for some reason I cant afford rent. Why do we not tick that box (according to the example) even if its true?

Thanks!

In London, they tend to like to see "I intend" and for the text, I put "Any monies needed during the duration of his stay". Other consulates might be ok with N/A, but London has a reputation for wanting "I intend".

Our i-134 went through like this, so yours should.

Good luck! Lots of paperwork, eh? :)

My father co-sponsored for us. On my I-134, I ticked do not intend and wrote that I'd support my husband once I found a job and on my father's I-134, He ticked I intend and wrote that he'd supply shelter and necessities for as long as needed. They were happy to see I intend ticked.
