We had an informal get together much like WraTran did, but I was affraid it would not be enough since we didnt have many pics of it, only a couple.. so we went ahead and had an official Dam Hoi.but not a huge one.. I am glad we did, because I have no doubt I am an accepted part of the family by everyone in the entire family after all we went through together that day, some elders had reservations after thier interaction with the US so long ago... I may have spent a grand or so, but it was priceless to us.. we are actually closer as a couple having gone through it together...

I dont think you guys are SOL.. they are just making you jump a little higher W/O it..

Well only a few more days left to find out. Yea when I met Ha's family it was quite overwhelming to be interviewed by nearly 40+ relatives. Ha reminded me if we were to have a dam hoi, it would be at least 3x this for family alone.. Dam hoi are traditionally big, but the number of family members alone are crazy! We do have a lot of pictures of our families together. We'll just hope for the best!
