On 11/19 we got this email notification:

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On November 19, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

Then on 11/20, we got a duplicate:

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On November 20, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

On 11/23, we got this in the mail:

Congratulations! etc, etc, On November 20, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 60 days for your card to be mailed to you.

TODAY we got another email notification (and our status on the USCIS website has move BACK a step to post-decision activity):

On November 24, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED.

We're confused.

Anyone else with greencard approval experience who can tell me what is going on? Should we be concerned?

Oh, forgot to note the status with the email we got today:

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On November 24, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED.

What is confusing is that we were already informed that we were approved back on the 19th and when we looked online that day, our case was in the final step - card production. Now we're a step backward in post-decision activity. ???

I'm just wondering if the status updates keep going backwards, will the approval be taken away or will they say it was an error or something? I mean, we got approved so fast.....I don't want to worry, but I find it odd, these updates.

These things get printed and mailed at various different times and some people do their jobs a hell of a lot faster than others. All of these messages are positive so I would not worry about them "taking anything back" obviously you have enough evidence in your petition for them to order the production of the card on your case.

The biggest thing you should worry about other than burning your turkey is if they spell your name wrong or put the incorrect information on your greencard. So when you do get it, cheack it very carefully. Make sure the A# is right and everything is spelled right, etc...

Stop worrying and don't forget to cook the bread rolls like I always do. Happy Turkey Day!

Experienced the very same, and initially thought it's weird as well. Also, my online status didn't change until I had the new card for one week already.

Happy Tofurkey Day, everyone!

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

President Teddy Roosevelt on Columbus Day 1915
