Well, I think it would be best if he were divorced first. It would be a hard one to explain at the Embassy why hes married and visiting a GF in the USA

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the MENA section? I'm sure it will be real popular there. Okay, I am feeling a bit mischievous.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

in order to receive a tourist visa, the applicant must prove to the satisfaction of the consular official doing the interview, that he/she has sufficient ties to the home country to not be 'intending to immigrate'. I would be more concerned with having sufficient proof of ties to home country...not how to answer the 'what is the purpose of your trip'. That is a given since he's applying for a tourist visa...the purpose, or the stated use of that visa is tourism...visiting the US. Whether its to visit a GF, or to visit Yosemite it matters not as much as being able to prove that if you're issued the tourist visa and you will not overstay and/or attempt to emigrate.
