Hi All, Looking for some advice. My fiance has her interview in Moscow on Feb 3rd. She lives a 2 hour plane ride away but has a sister who lives in downtown Moscow. If she goes to the interview can she request that her Visa be mailed to her sisters home so she does not have to take another roundtrip flight to her hometown or possibly return to the embassy when the Visa is ready?

Also what is the required vaccinations she should recieve before before her medical clearance?

Thanks so much, Lance

Yes since she has to bring the prepaid DHL mailer to the interview, she can list her sister's address as that.

Go to the US Embassy in Moscow website for a link for vaccinations. Click on the Embassy Info button under the people picture at the top of this page and you'll find it.

My fiance has a February 5th Moscow interview. From reading the Moscow Embassy website, your fiance needs to go the DHL office in Moscow (8 Marta Street) before her interview and pay for her visa delivery and get the "airway bill" from DHL to take to her interview. The website indicates they will send the visa anywhere in Russia, so your fiance will not need to stay in Moscow or have the visa sent to the sister's residence. In fact, they don't want you returning to the embassy to receive your visa. All visas are delivered through DHL.

Regarding vaccinations, it is my understanding that your fiance does not need any vaccinations for the interview or medical exam. Vaccinations are only required when you apply for your fiance's green card once in the USA.

This is correct. She does not need vaccinations for the medical or for the interview but will need them for the AOS. She should get whatever vaccination records she has from her doctor and take them with her to the medical exam. They will transcribe them onto a DS-3025 for her and she will keep that to file with the AOS. If she has had all her vaccines, you will be good to go for the AOS. We needed nothing else.
