I curious I been reading bout the affidavit support in the forum.I hear people say they make a little above the poverty guideline but still need a co-sponsor.I think for 2 people at 125% you need to make 18,212.How much more do you need to make above that to not have to use a co-sponsor?

The Consular officer will make a somewhat subjective decision based on the totality of circumstances but be aware that cosponsors are not always accepted in Manila anyway. All you can do is what you can do. Getting a second job wouldn't hurt.

Maybe none. Consulates make a judgement call on the total case situation. If your income is borderline, I recommend a co-sponsor for the visa interview. You can always try to qulaify on your own for the AOS (you need to do this twice) as it is done by the USCIS and they are more consistent than consulates.

I make more then the 125% poverty guideline, but it only about (20,160 ~ My current income). The embassy is asking fro 18,212.I get a raise every 2 months for a year.I figure I will get about 2 more raises before the interview .My estimated total would be 21,120 or 22,080 in bout 4 months.I only curious will that be fine.I have other options to consider that can help, but I trying to avoid the co-sponsor.

That will meet the published minimum requirements but the ultimate decision is a judgment call by the Consular officer. Nobody can accurately predict what that judgment will be. It seems crazy but some parts of the process are just not cut and dried.

Right. It meets the minimum guidelines. As mentioned earlier, it is a subjective, case by case decision, it is not a goal line. They need to determine that the beneficiary, you rfiancee, will not likely become a public charge. There is more to that decision, or can be, than just that you make over the guideline. In borderline cases I recommend a co-sponsor. Manila takes a dim view of co-sponsors for K-1 visas in general and would usually require the co-sponsor be a family member.

You never try to get a visa by having "just enough". Better to be loaded for bear. Remember, this person will never meet you, does not know you and will make his decision in just a few seconds based on papers you give him.
