every chance Eric got in the past he messed up... how many chances should a person get?

Well, this goes back to what I said about the moderating on these boards. How is it that he gets the ban stick, but others who say things equal if not worse don't even get the obligatory 3 hour suspension? As scandal said, it's capricious and arbitrary.

IMO he has done worse than whoever you are talking about. He made IDs again and again just to come write some horrible things, again and again. I know, some other ppl do say nasty stuff as well and I do wonder why they are handled so lightly. But still, I don't know. hehe. I'm not going along with this thing.

Then shouldn't you be championing the cause for more fair moderating rather than a crusade against someone?

I actually know a cool website that has a "The Jailhouse (JAIL)" thread for when a person gets banned. Any banned members are free to post in that thread until their ban is lifted. Of course there are tens of thousands of members and posters so it works well for the website I am referring to.

Why does it seem every time I interact with you on here, it is not pleasant. lol. No need for us to let it get that way. I stated my views. Some people think that's moral policing, I answered different than how some people feel. I don't appreciate getting rolling eyes smilies because I don't agree with people. Especially if things aren't supposed to be taken so seriously.

So he must have done something (or somethings ) , had some prior warnings (if I understand mod work and TOS ) , and chose to continue his actions.

He made a choice. Everyone lives with choices, Eric Included.

Now, I'm thinking, if ya wants him back, it's because ya like the guy..

But - yer liking a guy that did enough 'heinous activity' here (whatever that means ) for a mod or mods to take action against him.

Everyone has choices. It doesn't matter if you chose wrongly, the choice is still made. Eric made 'that choice' and now he's gone.

Now, I don't know Eric, I've not made time to read any of his posts - we never conversed on a regular basis, and actually no converse at all.

But if he's gone, there's a reason.

Anyone focusing on that reason, BESIDES the mods ?

I have been nice to him in the past on VJ , and he started acting worse and worse and saying weird things to people no matter who was nice to him. If he doesn't want to do that anymore, that is very cool. I mean his joking about his body parts is one thing. Insulting races and such is a different thing.

If you start a thread about the other people who seem to get away with things, I would post there too if I saw it. Since this thread is about one person, that's who I am talking about. So don't think I am so against Eric only or something.

Point well taken. I'd start a thread complaining about those who have done the same as eric yet remain unpunished, but whats the point? That would be as futile as say.... making a thread imploring Ewok to give Eric another chance.
