Good evening,

I have recently received my receipt for the I-130 and have sent out the I-129F. My question is, can I go ahead and fill out the DS-156 online and submit it or must I wait until I receive the K-3 Packet from the embassy in El Salvador for the instructions on what and how they want me to do it? I would like to get as much done as possible before I start working with the embassy so the process can move along efficiently without any delays on my part. Has anyone filed the DS-156 this early, after just sending out the I-129F? I realize it's a good idea to be prepared, but I obviously don't want to over do it and cause more problems later on. I have tried looking at the U.S. Embassy's website for San Salvador, but the information they provide is very brief with limited detail on what they prefer for the process and pretty much just refer you to the Department of State's website for info about the K-3. However, this isn't really helpful since I'm wanting to know what they prefer me to do specifically. I suppose I could e-mail them and see what kind of a response I get, however, any input here would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
