The house next door to me was a foreclosure and therefore bought up real cheap . The now owner is renting it out to a section 8 couple. They have lived there under 9 months and so far the police have been called 5 times and I have personally seen the woman walking up and down her driveway and the sidewalk wielding a meat cleaver.

You should think yourself lucky. At least she's not an axe murderer.

At least that I'm aware of.

I support Section 8 housing. However, I don't like it that you can't select your own tenants or be picky. You some tenants are stupid drug dealers, gangsters, pot heads. You aren't allow to discriminate against them by refusing them housing which is such a disappointment. I chose not to include my house as section 8 listing.

I think it has more to do with class than anything. This county is quite wealthy, allowing section 8 housing would very likely decrease property values and make the area less desirable if they want to move and need to sell their house.

No way to get out of this. Ironically it's the same deal in Aus. Lefties don't walk the talk. I know libs from that county and they more outspoken on various social issues than even many here. Cannot wait to slap this in their face.
