wouldnt it be fun to start a Reunion Picture Thread? As we all get reunited with our loved one(s) we could post a photo of ourselves with that person (people) in it and rejoice. lol.

Point taken, and oh yeah, Visa was approved today.

Hey, congrats!

Now the real fun begins! And, I guess it's time to resurrect this picture thread.

Who knows how to post pictures? I'm a complete dumb@$$ when it comes to posting photos on here. Any tips, anyone?

Add it in the attachment, below the box where you enter text. I think the limit is 1Mb for all of the attachments

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Ok, for some wedding pics now. Her hair dresser....he's...differen't if you catch my drift, really screwed up her hair for this one imo.

Here's a pic at the ZAGS office with some of her family and friends right after we tied the knot.

035387.th.jpg

Kira's father, god father, his wife, and Kira's mom. This was the beginning of a three day wedding reception....

000119.th.jpg

This is maybe 1/5 of the food that was served there in the next two days...for day #3 we moved the party to Brest to her other relatives....

000160.th.jpg

Kira and myself doing what they call "the first dance"...we had already did one at the ZAGS office right before this shindig started.

000168.th.jpg

Doing "toast" at the reception...this lasted like forever. Belarusians love this part of the wedding. It's like a license to drink...as if they need one.

0001253.th.jpg

More of the same....

0001260.th.jpg

A few of the gals there....

...and the guys + Kira

Great photos, Why Me.

I recognize several Minsk landmarks from my many travels there since 1993.

My American mom's parents were born in what is now modern day Belarus as well as my stepdaughter. My wife is Russian born, but is a Belarusian / US dual citizen.

I'll post some of my mom's old Belarus family reunion photos as well as some old Belarus reunion photos of my wife / stepdaughter's reunion photos as soon as I can upload them to Flickr.

Take care all.
